09/04/09: Here is a new way to get your money back from Trainpetdog. Trainpetdog.com claims to donate $25,000 to dogs in need. Nabanipa (Nipa) Roy self-published an article on PRNews, a website alluring to be a third-party news site, but in reality a self-promotional site. She explains the need for funding for dog rescues under the misleading header "puppy training". Better hurry: the offer, as it says at the bottom of the application page, is valid for only 15 days (the article was posted on June 25, 2009). What more can there be to a scam?? |

08/13/09: As scams on the internet are getting bolder, Nancy Richards is not lagging behind with unauthorized charges to credit card accounts and inaccessibility per phone or email: "I bought a book for $19.95 that was never delivered but they took the money out of my account. Then a month later they took another $99. When I have tried to contact them there is no response, no working phone, and no way to get into the web site. They email me garbage everyday but say they don't recognize my email address in their system. They are a rip off." Read the original post here. |

06/24/09: Laughable customer service questions and answers on pet-parrots.com such as "I have been trying for days to get the training e-book but I keep getting error messages stating that the site is either unavailable or cannot be found. How do I report such a site error?" One suggested solution: "refresh your screen a few times..." |

06/24/09: Sumantra Roy anonymized ownership of several domains like trainpetdog.com and parrotsecrets.com and pet-parrots.com. Why would an owner of an honest business want to hide their name? Wouldn't they be proud to be Nancy Richards or Nathalie Roberts? Carnax.com didnt'.... And he didn't with etrendsetters.com |

06/15/09: The Dogtraining Institute has been reported to the fraud department of Thawte, a leading global Certification Authority, for falsely copying a security image on the selling pages of the membership sites.
Thawte replies: "The Thawte Trusted Site Seal is a dynamic image appearing on a website that allows visitors to tell at a glance that they can trust you, that your online site is validated and that they can transact safely and securely with you.
A valid seal would be clickable, and show the SSL Certificate details in the pop up box.
We will report this seal to our fraud department, as it is invalid."
We are talking about the image in the lower left corner. Update 6/24: image was removed |

06/14/09: On parrotsecrets one can read how Sumantra and Nabanipa Roy (Nathalie Roberts) think they can build a membership site: "As this site develops it will become a monthly payment subscription site, but if you purchase now, we will give you a FREE "early bird" membership for life, as an early contributor that adds value to this important Parrot resource site." That's a LOT of work asked for free. Read it all here, the page you get after signing up for the newsletter. And here is the order form. |

BBB Company Rating F:
Our opinion of what this rating means:
We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices. |

THE SCAM.... |
If you already have been scammed, or if you are doing research before you buy, you have come to the right place.
We are here to let you know that NANCY RICHARDS and her dog training sites, and NATHALIE ROBERTS and her parrot training sites and SUMANTRA ROY and his Nancy Richards/Nathalie Roberts sites are scams. |
In a nutshell...
"Nancy Richards" sells memberships to dogbreed specific forums and promises tons of information on the dogtraininginstitute and trainpetdog sites. But after payment of the subscription fee, the login and password to the forums never arrive and the forums don't seem to exist.
Upon complaining, they say that you need to search through your spam folders and that they will "try" to send the password again. But the membership site is a scam. From now on you will receive a lot of spam promising you more and more if you buy their ebooks - mail from which you cannot unsubscribe.
|
On trainpetdog.com you can subscribe
to a (useless) free mini course.
Click on the two links below for side by side comparison of the boxer information that you receive once you
sign up for the free mini course on
trainpetdog.com and on the boxerinstitute site
(pages open in new windows or tabs)
Clicking on the link on those pages to join the membership site, you get these pages respectively for
trainpetdog and boxerinstitute.
One costs $37, the other $67.
(The pages have changed since this information was published, but the original linked pages are still on their servers, so you can still compare).
There is no difference between the two, because
as far as we know the membership sites don't exist.
And this is the same whether you look for Dachshunds , Weimaraners, or any of the other breeds.
And YES, it is confusing. It is MEANT to be.

Below is an example of the latest report on ripoffreport.com
Nancy Richards, Trainpetdog.com, Dog Training Institute - Did not received what I paid $37.74 for and was charged a second time $200.99 and I do not know what for! Los Angeles California.
On April 7, 2009 I signed up online for a membership to Train Pet Dog.com for $37.00. The information on the site said, 'The membership site contains lots of information on dog ownership. starting from housebreaking, training to diet and grooming, this membership site will help you build a strong, long-lasting relationship with your dog.' But they never really give you any information, they keep wanting you to buy books and videos. I have been trying to cancel this membership, but when I tried to unsubscribe, the website site told me, 'Unsubscribing DOESN'T cancel future payment. Contact Us to cancel further billing.' But they do not give you any options to contact them. I finally located a phone number 1-888-667-2649. When I called this number a recording said, 'The service you have called is not available from this area.' I have been unable to contact anyone thru the website. Now my credit card has been charged again, this time for $200.99. I called my credit card company and they are filing a dispute. Something needs to be done about this person that is scaming people!

As their traffic on trainpetdog.com is going down, the Roy pair in a recent move purchased bigpawsonly.com
This site has dogbreed-specific forums and 65.000 visitors per month. The new owners say that they won't make any changes to the site, they will only add some advertisements and leave the rest of the site alone. In the meantime they have already been removing forum posts that are questioning or critical of the changes taking place.
The Roys discovered that there is a huge market for dogbreed specific information. We suspect that the site will just become a tool for marketing their pet imperium. The reason they may have purchased this site is that it actually has the breed specific forums that they are scamming about on trainpetdog.com.
Users of the site, a tight community of dog lovers, wonder why the new owners admittedly don't even have a dog of their own.
But whether they have a dog or not, the fact that business owners conduct legitimate businesses doesn't justify that they are spamming and scamming at the same time!!
It is unknown for what amount the Roy's purchased the site.

The longer story...
The dog and parrot sites were created around 2004/2005 by Sumantra Roy, a well-known Search Engine Optimization and marketing specialist from West Bengal, India. He started his internetbusinesses and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) company "1stsearchranking.net" in 2001. He published MANY articles on the internet and was quickly seen as an expert in the field by other renowned specialists such as Allan Gardyne and Ralph Wilson. But within a year users were disappointed by his programs, software and his marketing strategies (such as spamming). |
Sumantra Roy and his sister/business partner Nabanipa Roy must like dogs and parrots, and in 2004 they took a different course. The parrot site parrotsecrets.com was purchased in April of 2004. In July of that year Sumantra Roy bought "sumantraroy.com" and in August he registered "sumantraroysucks.com." Then in October he bought the DogTrainingInstitute.com and .org sites, to be followed in the spring of 2005 by the many other "dogbreed"institute.com domain names. Right off the bat, since 2005, scamming by Nancy Richards has been reported on ripoffreports.com.
The DogTrainingInstitute offers access to a membership site for a one time fee of $67.

Sumantra Roy is the owner of:
trainpetdog.com
dogtraininginstitute.com
dogtraininginstitute.org
parrotsecrets.com
securewebbilling.com
etrendsetters.com
1stsearchranking.com
linkexplore.com
conversionmultiplier.com
(and many other related sites) |
Sumantra Roy was a well respected Search Engine Optimization specialist in 2002. In 2008 Sumantra Roy is selling a "conversion multiplier" tool. But what else is Sumantra Roy doing today....? The dog and parrot sites apparently are full of useful information. But what happens when you purchase a product with a 120 day money back guarantee? |
The product never arrives!! The user ID and password won't get into your mailbox!! You will keep getting daily emails urging you to buy products for your pets!
Daily messages on tricks with your parrot or dog arrive without problems in your mailbox. There are unsubscribe and modify your subscription links in the mail, but they don't work. "Nancy Richards" claims that your purchase or your forum password that you paid for ended up in your spam folder, and that you need to search your folders really well!
Read the exact letter after subscribing here
|
What is Sumantra Roy getting out of all these links to other sites? It's called Affiliate Programs! Sumantra Roy picks up money from promoting other people's sites and from having other people promote his sites through affiliate programs. Yes, Sumantra Roy is in the business of promoting website rankings and the Dog Training Institute is his PLAY PEN.
|
What to think about FALSE ADVERTISING? A dog training CD was posted on CD baby - a musical site - song #2 for example being called "the birth of the golden retriever." Sure! The Dog Training Institute & Co. sites are SPAM because once you subscribe to the newsletter, there is no way to STOP it from coming to your mailbox. An unsubscribe option is not provided, so you end up having to mark the sender as spam.

HERE is an overview of domain ownership by Sumantra Roy |
Nancy Richards is based in California:
Suite No 1010,

Santa Monica Blvd
Los Angeles CA 90069-4507 USA.
How then is it possible that according to the Terms Of Use
"This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of West Bengal in India. Exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any dispute arising out of or related to this Agreement shall be in the courts serving the city of Kolkata in West Bengal, India?" |
You have a 120 day money back guarantee no questions asked. But HOW do you get your money back?
You need to send a letter to:
Nabanipa Roy
49/2 Purna Das Road
Kolkata – 700029
West Bengal, India
and EXPLAIN why you want your money back. You think the refund will come? We're not sure. Sometimes it does, but not unless you write a letter to India, maybe! (Your giving up on getting you money back may be another little web marketing research project by Sumantra Roy!!!)
|
However silly it seems in this era of digital communication, we DO recommend that you write a letter to Nabanipa Roy in India. They may be trying to hide or collect evidence of requests, whatever it is, it is the only chance that you may get your money back. We DID get our money back, after writing the letter and raising a fuss per email and through paypal. Requesting a refund through Paypal alone did not work. "Search Engine Ranking System Consultants Pvt. Ltd." - the recipient of your money, lets you know "they will try to send you the link again."
|
Will someone pick up the phone and help you out?
We've heard that a man with Indian accent may answer and tell you that no staff is available right now.
You think you'll get a reply to your emails? Forget it!
You think PayPal will reply to your complaint? So far not. Will the BBB does anything for you? So far not.
Does RipOffReports help you out? So far not.
